We are currently seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic System Integration and Verification Engineer to support our team at EUMETSAT, contributing to the development and maintenance of advanced meteorological satellite systems.
What you´ll do
Engineering activities: 
  • Define and propose testing activities required to verify system requirements
  • Identify necessary test tools and test data, and plan the development or adaptation of these resources and ensure that procedures, tools, and data are prepared and ready for validation tests
  • Schedule and perform integration, verification and validation tests, document outcomes, analyze results, and report finding
  • Prepare and contribute to technical documentation, including Verification Control Documents (VCDs), engineering and I&V plans, test specifications, and procedures
  • Organize and conduct Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Test Review Boards (TRB) to assess the completion of integration and verification activities
(Service) Management activities:
  • Develop detailed plans for the execution of I&V tasks, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestone identification
  • Coordinate activities with EUMETSAT’s Technical Officer and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Regularly update and maintain the service plan, tracking changes and ensuring milestones are met
  • Collaborate with the Service Level Manager to ensure compliance with Service Level Targets
  • Provide regular updates on the status of deliverables, team activities, performance issues, and anomalies
What we are looking for
  • A degree in Aerospace engineering or in a similar subject
  • Experience in ground segment and sub-segment level I&V for Earth Observation missions
  • Knowledge of VCDs, DOORS, and other relevant documentation and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in using test tools and managing test data for comprehensive testing
  • Strong understanding of integration and verification processes, including anomaly management and documentation
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to travel within Europe as needed for the execution of specific tests
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
