LSE Space GmbH is looking for a senior Spacecraft Operations Engineer (f/m/d), with expertise on the Data Handling Subsystem, for the operations preparation and execution phases of future Earth Observation missions.
In line with security requirements, the candidate has to hold an EU citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.
What you´ll do
As
Spacecraft Operation Engineer (Data Handling System) you will join
Bepi Colombo Flight Control Team.
You will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Be in charge of operating the spacecraft Data Handling subsystem assigned as Prime and be back-up responsibilities on another subsystem
- Execution of operational procedures and special operations requests during all mission phases
- Operational Procedure generation/update under the strict configuration control
- Support the execution of Ground Segment and Satellite testing
- Be in charge of maintaining one or more elements of the Ground System infrastructure
- Daily monitoring of the space and ground segment elements of responsibility to assess health and performances, and identify trends and anomalies
- Participation and execution of the tasks related to the defined subsystem during the Critical Phase and End of Mission campaigns.
- Maintenance and generation of relevant FOS documentation
- Generation of requests for Mission Database updates and validation of such updates
- Supporting the configuration and validation of the On-Board Software
- Provide On-call support based on the defined rota
- Deliver technical inputs to the Team Leader
